Zamfara APC Primaries Get New Date
The All Progressives Congress All Progressives Congress has changed the timetable for its national assembly primary elections in Zamfara State.
The adjustment affects the selection process for candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, announced the update in a statement released on Friday.
He said the new schedule will now begin with the House of Representatives primaries.
According to the revised plan, the exercise in Zamfara will start on May 18, with other stages to follow as directed by the party leadership.
The party did not give reasons for the adjustment.
The APC said the rescheduling is part of ongoing preparations for smooth primaries across the country as it works towards selecting its candidates for various elective positions.
