Air Peace Delays Flights Amid Fuel Crisis
Air Peace has announced widespread flight delays across Nigeria due to a shortage of aviation fuel. The notice was issued on Saturday, warning passengers that several scheduled departures may not run as planned.
The disruption has left many travellers stranded at airports.
The airline said the delays are linked to limited availability of Jet A1 fuel affecting operations nationwide. It added that the situation has made it difficult to keep to flight schedules.
The carrier said it is working with partners to find a solution but did not give a timeline.
Passengers are now facing longer waiting times and uncertainty over their travel plans. Many have raised concerns over repeated disruptions, especially with rising ticket prices and unreliable schedules.
The crisis has renewed questions about the state of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
The problem follows earlier warnings from the Airline Operators of Nigeria about soaring fuel costs. Operators say prices have jumped sharply, making it hard to sustain operations.
With no quick fix in sight, fears are growing that more airlines may scale down or suspend flights.
