Atiku, Amaechi Submit ADC Presidential Forms
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi have officially submitted their presidential nomination forms at the African Democratic Congress national headquarters in Abuja ahead of the 2027 elections.
The development places both politicians in the race to unseat President Bola Tinubu.
Atiku described his bid as part of a wider push for national recovery and better governance.
He urged Nigerians from all regions and backgrounds to come together in support of a common effort to rebuild the country and restore confidence in leadership.
Amaechi also filed his forms on Thursday and promised to turn the country around within four years if elected.
He said leadership choices should be guided by record, competence and experience rather than ethnic or regional loyalty.
The former Rivers State governor criticised current economic conditions, blaming government policies for rising hardship across the country.
He maintained that his years in public office show he has the experience needed to deliver better results if elected in 2027.
