Atiku Gives Tinubu Ultimatum For Investigation
The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, has given President Bola Tinubu seven days to direct a transparent, comprehensive and independent investigation into the controversy surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.
The demand comes amid growing public attention over the disputed body.
Atiku said the investigation should be free from political influence and should uncover the full facts behind the allegations linked to the council. He maintained that Nigerians deserve openness and accountability on the matter.
According to him, an impartial probe would help clear public doubts and strengthen confidence in government institutions. He argued that only an independent process could settle the controversy fairly and restore trust.
The former vice-president urged the Federal Government to act within the seven-day period.
He insisted that resolving the matter openly would serve the public interest and reinforce confidence in the country’s democratic institutions.
