Ambassador Umaru Damagum has been unanimously ratified as the substantive National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The motion was presented by Hon. Tony Abineri, Chairman of the PDP Edo State chapter, on behalf of over 3,000 delegates at the 2025 Elective PDP Convention held at the main bowl of Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, on Saturday.
Seconded by Edward Marshal, the motion aligns with Section 32 of the amended PDP Constitution.
While moving the motion, Abineri stated, “I move the motion for the ratification of Ambassador Umaru Damagum as the substantive National Chairman of the party. This is in accordance with Section 32 of the Constitution of the PDP as amended.”
The PDP on Saturday officially endorsed Ambassador Umaru Damagum as its National Chairman.
