Dangote Clears Air On Rift Rumours
In Nigeria, the Dangote Group on Sunday dismissed reports of a fallout between its president, Aliko Dangote, and Tony Elumelu.
The company also rejected claims that Dangote sought financial help from associates to complete his refinery project.
The firm described the report as false and misleading, saying neither Dangote nor the organisation made such comments.
It insisted there was no disagreement between both businessmen and that their relationship remains strong despite the claims circulating online.
The company also denied reports that the refinery project was funded through personal loans from friends.
It stated that Dangote does not rely on informal borrowing and challenged anyone making such claims to present clear proof.
The clarification followed a viral post alleging that Dangote approached several business figures for support during the refinery construction.
The group said the story was fabricated and warned against the growing spread of false content, including the misuse of Dangote’s identity in manipulated materials.
