I Didn’t Buy ADC Form To Be Vice President – Amaechi
Former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi has restated that he is not in the race for a vice-presidential slot ahead of the 2027 elections.
He made the clarification during a political interview on Trust TV.
He said his focus remains the presidency and dismissed talks linking him to a deputy role.
Amaechi noted that he entered the contest to pursue the highest office in the country.
He also spoke on ongoing discussions within the African Democratic Congress over a possible consensus arrangement.
He said any decision must come through agreement among party stakeholders or be settled through a primary election.
The former governor added that internal party processes should be handled openly to avoid confusion as the 2027 election cycle draws closer.
