Muslim Rights Concern Accuses FG Of Religious Favoritism
The Muslim Rights Concern has accused the Federal Government of bias over plans to build a N25 billion ecumenical chapel at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The group said the move raises concerns about fairness in public spending.
MURIC argued that the project appears to favour one religious group, especially in a diverse country like Nigeria.
It warned that such decisions could deepen tension if not handled with balance.
The group called on authorities to reconsider the plan and ensure equal treatment of all faiths in national projects.
It stressed that public infrastructure should reflect inclusiveness.
Government officials are yet to respond publicly to the concerns, as debate grows over the proposed chapel and its funding.
