PDP Will Produce 2027 President – Makinde
In Abuja, Oyo State governor Seyi Makinde said the Peoples Democratic Party is set to win the 2027 presidential election.
He spoke on Monday at a National Executive Committee meeting of a PDP faction attended by party leaders and members.
He told supporters the party remains strong and capable of winning across all levels, including state and national offices.
He urged members to stay united and focused as preparations for the next election cycle gather pace.
At the meeting, the faction approved a 13-member caretaker committee to manage its affairs.
The panel is headed by Tanimu Turaki, while Taofeek Arapaja will serve as secretary. The move is part of efforts to stabilise the party structure.
The development comes as the PDP continues internal adjustments and consultations. Leaders say the aim is to rebuild the party and position it as a strong contender ahead of the 2027 elections.
