Riley Moore, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, has announced his intention to present a detailed report to President Donald Trump. The report will propose a strategy for collaborating with the Nigerian government to halt the genocide of Christians in the country.
Moore shared this update on X on Thursday after returning from his visit to Nigeria.
During his trip, the American legislator held discussions with key Nigerian officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
While in Benue State, Moore met with prominent religious leaders such as Bishops Anagbe and Dugu, along with the traditional ruler, Tor Tiv.
He also engaged with displaced Christian communities, who recounted attacks by Fulani militants in the Middle Belt region.
One harrowing account involved a woman who was forced by militants to witness the murder of her five children.
Moore’s tweet stated in part: “I am working on a report to @POTUS that will outline a path forward to work with the Nigerian government in a coordinated and cooperative manner to end the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle Belt and stop the ongoing terrorist threat in the Northeast.”
