APC Adjusts Reps Primary Timetable
The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary election to May 16, 2026.
The party announced the change on Thursday as preparations continue ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement released by Felix Morka, the ruling party confirmed that only the House of Representatives primary was affected by the adjustment.
The APC did not give detailed reasons for the postponement.
The party also clarified that all other scheduled primaries would proceed as earlier planned.
These include the Senate, state House of Assembly, governorship and presidential primaries across the country.
The latest development comes amid growing political activity and consultations within the APC as aspirants and party leaders intensify moves ahead of the nationwide primary elections.
