APC Fixes Presidential Primary Date
The All Progressives Congress has confirmed that its presidential primary for the 2027 election will take place on May 23, 2026.
The ruling party dismissed reports claiming the exercise had been postponed.
The clarification came on Wednesday through a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the APC, messages circulating on social media about changes to the timetable were false.
The party said there was no adjustment to its election schedule and urged members and supporters to ignore rumours suggesting otherwise.
It maintained that preparations for the primary election were ongoing as planned.
The APC also assured aspirants and party stakeholders that its activities for the 2027 elections would continue according to the approved timetable already released by the party leadership.
