FG Seeks Justice For Nigerians Killed In South Africa
The Federal Government has condemned the killing of two Nigerian citizens in South Africa and urged the South African authorities to immediately investigate the incidents.
It called for those behind the attacks to be identified and prosecuted without delay.
The government said the deaths have raised fresh worries about the safety of Nigerians living in South Africa.
It noted that the latest incidents have added to growing concerns over repeated attacks targeting Nigerians and other foreign nationals.
According to the government, a proper investigation and swift action are necessary to reassure affected families and strengthen confidence in the justice system. It stressed that protecting foreign residents is an important responsibility of every country.
The government also warned that continued attacks on Nigerians could affect the relationship between both countries. It urged South Africa to take stronger steps to stop further violence and protect lives.
