Learn The Bible Before You Start Preachin On Salvation – Pastors Fight
A fresh disagreement has broken out between Apostle Harrison Ayintete of Goodness Nation and Pastor Adedolapo Lawal of Zoe Household Global over the doctrine of salvation.
Ayintete criticised Lawal’s rejection of the “once saved, always saved” teaching, insisting that those who receive eternal life through faith in Christ cannot lose their salvation.
He urged the cleric to study the Bible more deeply before teaching the subject.
The dispute followed Lawal’s sermon in which he argued that salvation demands continued faith, repentance and holy living.
He maintained that believers could fall away from the faith and warned that teaching unconditional eternal security could encourage careless living.
He also urged Christians to study the whole Bible rather than depend on a few popular passages.
Ayintete disagreed, saying the New Testament letters were written to help believers grow spiritually, not to determine whether they remained saved.
He argued that eternal life is permanent and that believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit until redemption. According to him, spiritual growth should not be confused with spiritual birth.
The preacher also dismissed claims that “hyper-grace” encourages sin and challenged Lawal to a public debate on the issue.
He insisted that Christians overcome sin through the work of the Holy Spirit rather than fear of losing salvation, adding that he and others would continue preaching what they believe the Bible teaches about grace.
