Scandals Have Become A Regular Part Of Tinubu’s Govt – Atiku
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of allowing scandals to become a regular part of governance.
The African Democratic Congress presidential candidate said the repeated controversies now point to a deeper problem in the way the country is being run.
Atiku argued that many major allegations follow the same path, with investigations announced, public attention drawn to the issue and then no clear outcome.
He listed the controversy over the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council alongside unresolved questions surrounding the NNPCL, refinery spending, crude oil theft and budget discrepancies.
He also claimed that justice is applied differently depending on who is involved. According to him, cases involving ordinary citizens move quickly, while matters linked to powerful officials often lose momentum.
He added that Nigerians continue to face economic hardship despite reports of poor management of public funds.
The former Vice President urged the Federal Government to carry out an independent investigation into the PFIPC controversy and publish its findings.
He said the seven-day deadline he gave the Presidency was already running and insisted Nigerians deserve clear answers before it expires.
