Bomb Blast Kills One, Several Injured In Sokoto
One person has died while several others were injured after a vehicle reportedly ran over a bomb believed to have been planted by suspected bandits in Sokoto State.
The explosion caused panic in the area as emergency responders rushed to the scene.
The blast struck the vehicle during its journey, leaving passengers with different degrees of injuries. Those hurt were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Security agencies have begun investigating the incident to determine those behind the attack. The area has also been placed under closer security surveillance.
The latest explosion adds to growing security concerns in parts of Sokoto, where armed groups have continued to carry out attacks on communities and travellers.
