I Will Scrap JAMB And NYSC If Elected – Sowore
Presidential hopeful Omoyele Sowore has said he would abolish the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board and the National Youth Service Corps if elected President of Nigeria.
He presented the proposal as part of his plans to reform the country.
The former presidential candidate made the statement while discussing his vision for governance. He argued that both institutions should be replaced with alternatives he believes would better serve Nigerians.
His remarks have added to public debate over the future of the two national institutions, which have played key roles in tertiary education admissions and graduate service for decades.
The proposal remains a campaign promise and would require the appropriate legal and policy processes before any such changes could take effect if he is elected.
