Tinubu Orders Rescue After Oyo School Attack
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the killing of an abducted teacher from Esiele community in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
He also directed security agencies to intensify operations to secure the release of other victims still in captivity.
The attack happened after armed men invaded schools in the area and abducted teachers and pupils, triggering renewed concern over safety in parts of the South-West.
One of the kidnapped teachers was later confirmed dead.
Tinubu ordered security forces to sustain search and rescue efforts and ensure the safe return of all remaining victims.
He also called for stronger coordination among security agencies involved in the operation.
Security operations are ongoing in the affected communities as teams continue to track the attackers.
Authorities say efforts are focused on restoring calm and preventing further attacks on schools.
