Boko Haram Attack Leaves Adamawa In Fear
In Adamawa State, suspected Boko Haram fighters launched a night attack on Hong Local Government Area, killing at least nine people.
The raid hit Mayo Ladde and Kuva Gaya communities on Wednesday. Many residents fled their homes in fear as gunmen invaded the area. Several others were displaced.
The attackers stormed homes and left destruction behind before security forces arrived. Hong LGA chairman Inuwa Usman Wa’aganda said troops regained control after the damage was done.
The assault has deepened fear among locals. Communities are now struggling to recover from the shock.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri visited the affected areas and met with the Hoba chiefdom led by Alheri Bulus Nyako. He condemned the killings and ordered stronger security measures.
He also met displaced families and urged them to stay hopeful. Authorities promised increased action against the attackers.
The violence has disrupted farming activities as the planting season nears. Local leaders called for more security support, including forest guards and closer cooperation with agencies.
The governor praised security forces and local vigilantes for their response. Efforts are ongoing to restore calm and prevent further attacks.
