EFCC Re-Arrests Ex Power Minister In Kaduna
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested former Power Minister Saleh Mamman in Kaduna after he reportedly went into hiding following his conviction.
The arrest was confirmed by EFCC leadership in the early hours of Wednesday.
Mamman was said to have been taken into custody around 3:30am after security operatives tracked him down.
He had recently been sentenced to 75 years in prison over a ₦33.8 billion fraud case linked to his time in office.
Officials said the arrest followed his disappearance after the court ruling, which triggered a manhunt across different locations.
He is expected to be processed further in line with legal procedures.
The case is one of the high-profile corruption trials handled by the anti-graft agency in recent years, as efforts continue to recover stolen public funds.
